How much for breakfast?! Welcome to London…

Many of you may be wondering why we have been on the down low here at Flux this past week but believe us it’s not for lack of adventure. We are in London producing the exclusive London premiere of Joy Division. All I will say for now is it’s a big night involving Grant Gee and Peter Saville with very very important guests and you will have to come back in a day or two to get the scoop on what how it all went down.

In the meantime I got sticker shock or should I say cheque shock when I got our bill for 2 continental breakfasts at our hotel this morning. Granted the food was yummy but the price for dinner at 10am is brutal!
Took some interesting snaps on our walk around town (no Big Ben, the Eye or Thames for you today, flickr has plenty of those). Just some flavor of local everyday life for now. So sit back relax and enjoy the view.

At Green Park in Mayfair…random lawn chairs amid runners and a procession of people in the rain no less

Griffin House is for my son…

Hi Meg,
Loving the non-quinessential London pics - esp. the Green Park deckchairs!
You just missed some exciting news from London - a new hotel concept, Guest Hotels, was launched over here last week- I think the idea is that hotels are going to be used as stages for new up and coming artists and performers. There’s an arts club attached too - membership provides entry and discounts to galleries, exhibitions etc in the city. I think its about time London had an arts-focussed club like this but I suppose only time will tell if the concept takes off. Don’t know if this is of interest to you guys but I think it could be an arts venture to watch. Does anyone know if there’s anything similar in the States?
