As part of the Flux Artist Series at Soho House, Michel Gondry shared his latest projects including his new film/book with artist Julie Doucet, My New New York Diary. The evening included a screening of an animated short made with Doucet, a Q&A about Michel’s forthcoming project including a film he is developing based on Philip K. Dick’s short story Ubik and a live music performance with singer Becky Stark.
Guests each had an opportunity to have books custom signed and illustrated by Michel himself.
While Michel’s big budget Hollywood movie The Green Hornet was number one at the box office, he explained how he was hard at work on an independent animated film based on and featuring Noam Chomsky.
Wonder if Michel had flashbacks to Eternal Sunshine…
